Some common words used in the psychic industry which often confuse people.
Here are some explanations.
Clairvoyant
Clairvoyant means ‘clear vision’ in French. It’s a bit like daydreaming and seeing images. Some images are literal and some are symbolic. Whilst looking at a person, images pop into my mind that relate to the person, for example I might see a fishing rod for a person who likes fishing or a guitar for someone in a band. Sometimes I also see words spelt out in my mind and very often names too.
Medium
A medium is someone who is able to communicate to dead people. It is believed that after death the soul or spirit lives on. It is very rare for a spirit to appear in full body, as this would take a lot of psychic energy, but sometimes by linking in, using the mind and psychic energy, I can feel what the deceased person looked like or how they felt, how they died, relevant names and details and sometimes even a message can be passed on.
Mediumship varies as much as people vary. Some people are quiet and say very little and some are very noisy extroverts and the same applies once they have died.
Psychic
Psychic is the term used to refer to someone who has a gift of knowing things that somehow don’t normally or logically seem possible, such as knowing when the phone is about to ring or knowing who is knocking at the door before they even knock, some things a lot of people take for grated are actually psychic traits. Psychic ability is used to ‘see’ what your next home will look like. the term is often mixed up with clairvoyant as the two gifts are very similar, but psychic is less about seeing and more about ‘just knowing’
Tarot Cards
This is an ancient deck of 78 cards. Each card has a meaning and by shuffling the pack and laying in certain patterns, I can look at each cards meaning and how it relates to your life.
Tarot is a very popular tool and useful for looking at past, present and future concerns. tarot is great for relationship spreads and looking at home and work issues too, as well as your spiritual journey and creativity. It can warn you when you are off-track and when things are about to go a bit wobbly.
Palmistry
Palmistry – by looking at the shape and bumps and lines on your hands, I can tell a lot about you! Each mound and finger relates to a planet which has it’s own characteristic.
By looking at your hands, I can give a personality analysis and let you know if you are in the right kind of job for your hand type. I can see if you are kind and loving or a bit more matter of fact emotionally , a good business person and more.
There are also marriage and children lines on the hands which are always interesting to look at. However I have known people without children to have children lines because they work with children or have lots of nieces and nephews.
Crystal Ball
This is a sphere of either glass or real crystal which is used to focus the gaze and aid clairvoyance. Sometimes the images are seen in the ball itself and sometimes in the minds eye.
Intuition
This is our gut feeling, intuition is about having a sense that something is about to happen or a feeling that someone is a certain personality type before we have even got to know them. Intuition can warn us, like our forgotten animal instincts that we shouldn’t do thing or even that we should!
